How we make money

Right now, HostCalmly earns nothing.

No link on HostCalmly pays us. Every outbound link goes to the vendor's or retailer's regular page. There are no ads, no sponsored posts and no paid placements.

If that changes

Some companies we cover run partner programs that pay a fee when someone signs up or buys through a link. We may join some of them to cover the cost of running the site. If we do:

• Every paid link will say “Paid link” right next to it, on the page where it appears, not just here.
• This page will name each partner and the kind of fee it pays.
• We'll only say a paid link costs you the same as going to the vendor directly once we've confirmed that for the program.
• Nothing about how we rank or recommend will change. The rules below already apply.

What a partner can't buy

• A place in a list or a ranking. The software check ranks options by your needs and verified facts. Its code can't read partner data, and an automated test checks that.
• A better review. Partners don't see our pages before they're published, and they can't ask us to change a fact unless they show us an official source.
• A spot on the shopping list. A product appears because it fills a need at a fair price per unit.

We also show options that pay us nothing, including “keep what you have” and free platform tools. Often those are the best answer.

What we never do

• Share your rental details, your contact information or anything you type with a partner. A company only learns about you if you click through and sign up yourself.
• Accept free products or payment in exchange for coverage.
• Put paid links in your printed lists, PDF files or exported spreadsheets. Those use the plain vendor or store address.
