Emergency info sign maker
One page for the inside of a kitchen cabinet or closet door: the emergency number, this home's address, how to reach you, the nearest hospital or urgent care and where the extinguisher, first-aid kit and shutoffs are.
Your emergency details
Saved on this device911 is the US emergency number. Hosting outside the US? Change it to the local one.
The full street address, so a guest can give it to emergency services.
Printed with your first name. It stays in this browser and isn't sent to us or anywhere else.
Name, address or phone, as you'd want a guest to read it. We don't look it up, so check it yourself.
Where to find
Leave it blank if the home has no gas.
Headline and names
Saved in this browser with this rental. Your phone number and address are never sent to us; the sheet is made and printed on your device.
Letter page, 8.5 × 11 in. Large black type, so it reads the same from a black-and-white printer.

How it works
How the emergency info sign maker works
The sheet puts the emergency number in large type at the top, then this home's address, how to reach you and the nearest hospital or urgent care, then where to find the fire extinguisher, first-aid kit, water shutoff, breaker panel and gas shutoff. Anything left blank is left off. The emergency number is the one saved with your rental, the same your house manual ends with.
Hypothetical example
A host who has typed the address, a phone number and four locations, with no hospital yet and no gas in the home.
| Emergency numberIn large type at the top | 911 |
|---|---|
| Address of this home | 14 Shore Road, Bayview |
| Your host | Dana, (207) 555-0199 |
| Fire extinguisher | Kitchen wall, by the back door |
| First-aid kit | Hall closet, top shelf |
| Water shutoff | Basement, next to the water heater |
| Breaker panel | Garage, left wall |
| Details on the sheet | 7 of 9 |
The hospital and gas shutoff lines are left off until they're filled in, so the sheet never shows a blank. The National 911 Program says "If you're experiencing an emergency, call 911 immediately"; change the number if you host outside the US.
What it doesn't do
- It gives no medical or safety instructions. It lists who to call and where things are.
- It doesn't look up the nearest hospital or urgent care. Type the one you'd send a guest to, and check it yourself.
- It doesn't send your phone number or address anywhere. They stay in this browser with the rental, and the sheet is printed from your device.

Questions hosts ask
What should a rental's emergency info sheet include?
The local emergency number, the home's full street address, how to reach you, the nearest hospital or urgent care and where the fire extinguisher, first-aid kit, water shutoff, breaker panel and gas shutoff are. Our safety checklist lists the same.
Where should I post it?
Where a guest will look in a hurry and can't miss it, such as inside a kitchen cabinet door or near the main door. Use the copy-as-text button to put the same details in your guidebook.
What if I host outside the US?
Change the emergency number to the local one. 911 is the US number (the National 911 Program (opens in a new tab): "If you're experiencing an emergency, call 911 immediately", checked Nov 2, 2026). Your house manual uses the same saved number.
Is my phone number sent anywhere?
No. It's saved in this browser with this rental, the sheet is made on your device and printing happens in your browser.
