Restock list
For a rental that's already hosting: what one stay uses, what to keep in the closet, what's on hand now and exactly what to buy. Saved for each rental. Print it, copy it or send it to an owner.

How it works
How the restock list works
Each item has a planning rate: per guest per night (toilet paper, soap, coffee), per night (dish soap, trash bags), per stay (sponges) or per bathroom per stay (bin liners). One stay's use is the rate times your typical guests and nights. Keep is that use times the stays you stock for, and you rebuy the difference between Keep and what you count on hand.
- Per stay = rate × guests × nights (or × nights, × stays, × bathrooms)
- Keep = per-stay use × stays to stock, rounded up
- Buy = Keep − on hand, never below 0
Hypothetical example
4 guests for 3 nights in a 2-bathroom home, stocking for 5 stays and reordering with 2 left.
| Per stay0.5 roll × 4 guests × 3 nights + 1 spare per bathroom × 2 | 8 rolls |
|---|---|
| Keep on hand8 × 5 stays | 40 rolls |
| Reorder below8 × 2 stays | 16 rolls |
| On hand 9, buy | 31 rolls |
Count once after a turnover, and the list says what to buy and what's already below its reorder level.
What it doesn't do
- The rates are planning assumptions, not measurements. Change them on the restock answer page to match your receipts.
- It doesn't price Amazon items or add tax and shipping.
- Linen and towels aren't consumables; replace them on the schedule in the linen replacement answer.
Questions hosts ask
How much toilet paper should I leave for guests?
For 4 guests over 3 nights in a 2-bathroom home, about 8 rolls: half a roll per guest a night plus a visible spare in each bathroom. Keep about 40 in the closet if you stock for 5 stays.
Can I send the list to the owner?
Yes. "Copy for the owner" makes a plain list of what the closet needs, with no links, ready to paste into a message.
Is my count saved?
Yes, for each rental, in this browser. A co-host with several units picks the unit at the top of the form.
